During her recent visit in India , British Prime Minister Theresa attracted a hit on social media by wearing a gold and green saree while visiting the Halasuru Someshwara Temple.Ms May wore the traditional Indian clothing as she visited the Hindu temple in Bangalore, the southern city which has become the IT sector hub of the sub-continent.
Taking time off her hectic engagements in the city, May accompanied by two priests went around the temple at Halasuru, donning a gold and green saree.
She went to India at the head of a 33-strong business delegation with the aim of bringing down barriers to commerce and paving the way for a free trade agreement following Brexit.
In pictures, now actively being shared on Twitter, Ms May looks more than comfortable in the ethnic ensemble. Photographs show her standing alongside the temple’s priests as she offers prayers to Lord Shiva.
